Over 2 days of Italian innovation excellence
A program designed for Italian and local companies to engage at a variety of events organized within the framework of the Italian Innovation Days 2019. This will be the first Italian Innovation Day event being held in Australia in 2019.
Engage with local and international entrepreneurs from diverse industries with knowledge of startups who will be joined by guest speakers from the public and private sector.

Emil AbirascidCo - Organizer, journalist and founder of Startupbusiness, the social network where startups, investors, enterprises, universities, incubators and scientific parks can exchange experiences, resources, projects and do business together.
He writes about innovation and innovative startups on Il Sole 24 Ore, the main Italian financial newspaper. Emil is curator of StartupDigest Italy, advisor of ScaleIT, advisor of International Accelerator, President of the Evaluation Committee of the Premio Gaetano Marzotto and mentor of Startupbootcamp Rome and The Founder Institute. Consul David BalloniHas been Consul of Italy in Perth since 2015. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Perugia, a Master of International Business from the International University of Venice and a Master of diplomatic studies from the Italian Society for International Organization. He entered the diplomatic service in 2012. Since his appointment as Consul of Italy in Western Australia has supported Italy's key role in the SKA Project and more broadly research of space technologies. Prior to entering the diplomatic service Consul Balloni worked for a privately owned construction company in Italy.

Ambassador Michael PulchCurrently Ambassador, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Australia further to completing his tour of duty in Singapore. After graduating in law from the University of Bonn, Ambassador Pulch pursued an academic career. Since graduating with a Masters in Law in the area of international law which he received from Cambridge University, Ambassador Pulch entered the diplomatic corps at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany and was posted to Seoul in the role of Political Secretary. He later joined the European Commission and since then has represented the EU in several capacities in Embassies located majorly in the South – East Asia/Pacific region and the United States.
